Acceptance

By using One Million Small Things ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site does

One Million Small Things collects and publishes short, user-submitted stories about acts of kindness. Submissions are reviewed - automatically and, in some cases, by a human - before publishing, per our Community Guidelines.

Submitting content

By submitting a story, you confirm that:

• It's true to your knowledge and experience
• You have the right to share it (e.g. you're not sharing private information about someone else without appropriate care - see our Community Guidelines on identifying details)
• You're comfortable with it being published publicly on the site and potentially shared on our social media

You grant One Million Small Things a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, and share your submitted story (with attribution as you provided it - name or anonymous) across the site and our associated social media channels.

You may request removal of your story at any time by contacting us.

Age

One Million Small Things is not intended for unsupervised use by children under 13.

Moderation

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or edit (for length or clarity only, never for meaning) any submission at our discretion, including content that violates our Community Guidelines. Rejected submissions will generally receive a reason, per our moderation process.

Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Submit spam, advertising, or promotional content
• Submit hateful, discriminatory, explicit, or harassing content
• Attempt to disrupt or abuse the submission system (e.g. automated or bulk submissions)
• Misrepresent your identity in a way intended to deceive

No warranty

The site is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every published story has been independently verified.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Million Small Things and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, or from content submitted by other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
